December doings

Our new home is ready for Christmas!  The kids were really good at ornaments this year, and not just clustering them in the front, near the bottom.  We *almost* had a tree catastrophe this year.  Our tree is pre-lit and when I turned it on the first time, only half of the lights were working!!  I was detirmined, and a bit stubborn, partly because Tommy said we would get a *gasp* REAL tree, and to save money.  So I pulled out my Light Keeper Pro and Poof!  It works!!  Unbelievably great purchase.

Our home is now blessed!  Father Juan came over, as well as our realtors (and dear friends), and my parents and joined us for dinner and a blessing.  It was a beautiful blessing, with Patrick getting practice for future altar-serving duties.

He blessed every corner and room of our home.  A little thrill for me was how he "made" holy water for his blessing, since I didn't have any at home.  When we finally told Father we had a new home, he asked to come over and bless it.  It was our honor!
